Job Title: ServiceNow Architect – Accounts Payable Operations (APO)

Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced ServiceNow Architect with 11+ years of IT experience and deep expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions focused on Accounts Payable Operations (APO). The ideal candidate will possess strong technical architecture experience in ServiceNow along with hands-on knowledge of finance workflows, invoice lifecycle automation, vendor management, and ERP integrations.

The candidate will collaborate with finance, procurement, and IT stakeholders to architect secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions that streamline accounts payable operations while adhering to enterprise governance and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect end-to-end ServiceNow solutions for Accounts Payable Operations (APO).
  • Engage with finance, procurement, and business stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements.
  • Design scalable workflows for:
    • Invoice submission and processing
    • Approval workflows
    • Vendor onboarding and management
    • Payment request processing
    • Invoice exception handling
    • Dispute and reconciliation workflows
  • Configure and customize ServiceNow applications using platform best practices.
  • Develop solutions utilizing:
    • Flow Designer
    • IntegrationHub
    • Glide APIs
    • Business Rules
    • Script Includes
    • Client Scripts
    • UI Policies
    • UI Actions
    • Scheduled Jobs
    • REST & SOAP APIs
  • Integrate ServiceNow with enterprise ERP platforms including:
    • SAP
    • Oracle ERP
    • Microsoft Dynamics
    • Other finance applications
  • Design secure and scalable integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Server, and IntegrationHub Spokes.
  • Define platform architecture standards, coding guidelines, governance policies, and technical best practices.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical leadership across multiple ServiceNow projects.
  • Ensure application performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and compliance.
  • Lead platform upgrades, release planning, and production support activities.
  • Mentor ServiceNow developers and conduct technical knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Prepare architecture documents, solution designs, integration specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Infrastructure, Security, Finance, Procurement, and PMO.

Required Skills

  • 11+ years of overall IT experience.
  • 9+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Architect.
  • Strong expertise in the ServiceNow platform architecture.

    • Exception Handling
    • Financial Controls
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with:
    • SAP
    • Oracle ERP
    • Microsoft Dynamics
    • Other enterprise finance systems
  • Experience with IntegrationHub Spokes and MID Server.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform governance and architecture standards.
  • Experience in enterprise workflow automation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) – Preferred
  • Experience with:
    • ITSM
    • Enterprise Workflow
    • Procurement Operations
    • Finance Operations
  • Experience working in large enterprise digital transformation programs.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
