Job Description

Full Stack Developer

Overview

We're looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our engineering2 team building a modern, AI-augmented web platform. You'll work across a React/TypeScript frontend, a .NET 8 backend, and a Python-based recommendation microservice powered by vector embeddings — contributing to a system that combines traditional transactional workflows with semantic search and AI-driven recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain responsive user interfaces using React with TypeScript, ensuring performance, accessibility, and a consistent UX across devices.
  • Develop scalable, secure REST APIs using ASP.NET Core 8 and Entity Framework Core, handling data access, business logic, and integration layers.
  • Work with PostgreSQL 18, including schema design, query optimization, and integration of the pgvector extension for vector embeddings and semantic similarity search.
  • Collaborate with the AI/ML team on the FastAPI (Python) microservice responsible for embedding generation and vector-based recommendations — consuming its APIs from the .NET backend and React frontend.
  • Implement secure, scalable file upload/storage workflows using AWS S3 (documents, images, and other assets).
  • Integrate a third-party OTP service (provider to be finalized per client requirements) for authentication/verification flows.
  • Implement structured application logging, diagnostics, and monitoring using Serilog, contributing to observability and faster incident triage.
  • Build responsive, consistent UI layouts using CSS and Bootstrap 5.3.8.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code; participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical design discussions.
  • Collaborate with backend, frontend, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure smooth, high-quality releases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across the stack, from UI rendering to API performance to database query behavior.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 4–5 years of professional experience in full stack web development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript, including component architecture, state management, and API integration.
  • Solid experience with ASP.NET Core (.NET 8 or recent versions) and Entity Framework Core for building REST APIs and data access layers.
  • Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, including relational schema design and query optimization; exposure to pgvector or vector/embedding-based search is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with microservice architectures and consuming APIs built in other stacks (e.g., Python/FastAPI services) is a plus.
  • Experience integrating cloud storage services, ideally AWS S3.
  • Experience with structured logging frameworks (Serilog or equivalent) and application monitoring practices.
  • Proficiency in CSS and responsive frameworks, specifically Bootstrap 5.x.
  • Understanding of secure authentication/verification flows (OTP-based or similar).
  • Strong understanding of REST API design principles, Git-based version control, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work across the full stack independently.

Good to Have

  • Prior exposure to AI/ML-adjacent systems — vector databases, embeddings, or recommendation engines.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) beyond S3 (e.g., basic familiarity with Lambda, EC2, or IAM).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
